Failing Fiction

Hello, all! This is going to be my favorite, longest challenge yet and I really want to see someone take it. *cough* Nimh *cough*

Here's how it works. I'm listing three songs.

They are all by Rise Against, because of reasons.

What you are going to do is take those three songs...and use them as inspiration for a story about war. One that I'm going to explain below.

(Prejudice, discrimination, hatred. These are things that have bred in the war for years now. And things that have finally come to a head, bringing forth violence and bloodshed and even more hatred, that just fuels the battles onwards. It is a war that has gone on for five years already, and every day a new state, country, continent is brought into the fight.

Those that are discriminated against are being killed off. Medication and food are hard to come by, and fresh water even more so. Disease runs rampant and the soldiers are being drafted into the fight, becoming ruthless as they battle, and losing sight of what they fight for.

One group tries to make a stand. They are rag-tag and worn, but they have not yet given up. They have refused their drafts and formed their own small army, trying to defeat the hatred right at its core.)

That is your setting.

It must be atleast 1,500 words long. It has no word limit.

It must be based around ALL THREE songs that I listed.
